Laure à la Havanne

In 2013, I walked the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage from St-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago, an 800-km journey. I was at a crossroads in life and needed clarity as to what my next step should be. I set the intention to get such clarity on the Camino and set out every morning with my backpack, walking sticks and water repeating my intention. It was not until after I returned from the Camino that I noticed that the signs had been there all along and that the Camino had answered and had kept answering my question since the beginning.

Indeed, from the very first day of the Camino, I had been showing pilgrims a few yoga postures to help them stretch during a break or at the end of a long day of walking. The answer seemed clear in retrospect: sign up for a yoga teacher training! And so I did, completing a 250 hour Yoga teacher training in 2014 at Luna Yoga. I followed up with a Yin Yoga teacher training with Happy Tree in 2016 to deepen my practice of slowing down, tuning in to my body in a more subtle way and developing a more healing, restorative practice.
